....PETROUSJKA staat voor creatieve coaching met een sterke oorsprong in muziek en is opgericht door Hans Alting. De naam is een afgeleide van het ballet ‘Petroesjka’ van Igor Stravinsky.
In deze vaak gespeelde compositie komen in korte tijd alle facetten van dans, lyriek en creativiteit aan bod. Het is voor veel musici een onderdeel van audities, met een aantal prachtige solistische trompet passages, waaronder een spannend duet aan het slot. In het begin van mijn carrière heb ik tijdens een concert, in de bloei van mijn leven, juist in deze passage een hoge c gemist. Dit heeft een enorme impact op mij gehad, waarop een periode van verwerking en bezinning volgde. Uiteindelijk heeft deze gebeurtenis er indirect toe geleid om Coach & Trainer te worden, en mentale begeleiding aan te bieden.
De bijzondere schrijfwijze PETROUSJKA symboliseert positieve verandering door het gebruik van taalpatronen. Het logo is een metafoor van de ‘footprint’ die ik met mijn unieke bijdrage en visie wil leveren. Mijn doel is openheid te creëren in een wereld waar topprestaties worden geleverd, van musici en sporters tot het bedrijfsleven, omdat dit het persoonlijke niveau en de onderlinge dynamiek positief bevordert.

PETROUSJKA stands for creative coaching with a strong origin in music and was founded by Hans Alting. The name is derived from the ballet Petrouchka by Igor Stravinsky.
This regularly performed composition combines many aspects of dance, lyricism and creativity. For many instrumentalists it is part of the audition repertoire; for the trumpet, there are some beautiful solos and the challenging duet at the end. Early in my career, in the prime of my life, I missed a high c during a performance in this particular passage. This had an enormous impact on me, initiating a period of reflection and acceptance. Thus, indirectly it caused me to become a Coach & Trainer and offer mental guidance.
My spelling of PETROUSJKA symbolizes positive change using language patterns. Its logo is a metaphor of the ‘footprint’ that I want to leave behind with my unique contribution and vision. My goal is to create openness and have a positive influence on both a personal and mutual dynamic in a world of top performers, from musicians and athletes to the business community.

Sinds 2014 ben ik zowel trompettist als coach. Twee bijzondere rollen die elkaar op een natuurlijke manier aanvullen. Als Master Coach ga ik met cliënten in gesprek om de dilemma’s die ze ervaren te verduidelijken en te verminderen of op te lossen. Mijn levenservaring als mens en musicus beïnvloedt sterk mijn visie op coaching.
Naast het begeleiden van musici heeft de mentale coaching en wedstrijdinstelling van topsporters mijn bijzondere interesse. Een combinatie van al deze perspectieven waaronder NLP, Mindfulness, Enneagram, Trance technieken en ‘Totaalcoachen’ vormen de basis voor mijn coaching.
In 1980 ging ik als tiener en trompettist naar het conservatorium in Groningen. Vier jaar later, op twintigjarige leeftijd, begon mijn carrière bij het Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest in Amsterdam, al meer dan een eeuw één van ’s werelds beste orkesten. Tijdens mijn loopbaan heb ik alle continenten van de wereld gezien, en op alle grote internationale podia gespeeld. Het proces om samen met andere topmusici een fantastische prestatie te leveren blijft fascinerend en verslavend.

In addition to being a trumpet player, since 2014 I am also a coach; two special roles that complement each other in a natural way. As Master Coach I talk with clients to clarify, ease or to solve dilemmas they encounter. My experiences both in my personal life and as a musician strongly influence my view on coaching. Next to coaching musicians, I have a special interest in the mental coaching and competition strategies of top athletes. A combination of all these perspectives including NLP, Mindfulness, Enneagram, Trance techniques and Action Type form the basis of my coaching.
In 1980, as a teenager, I joined the conservatory in Groningen. Four years later, aged 20, I started my career with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam, one of the world’s greatest orchestras for well over a century. During my career I have visited every continent, and I have played in all the major international concert halls. The process of producing a superb performance with other top musicians is still fascinating and addictive.

....Iedere dag ‘topsport’ beoefenen vergt een ijzeren discipline en een voortdurend streven naar balans, acceptatie en voldoening. Het vak van musicus kent, veelal door het streven naar perfectie, ook momenten van stress. Een probleem dat veel mensen in onze huidige samenleving parten speelt! Mede doordat er de laatste tijd een enorme verjonging in het orkest plaats vindt, met zeer talentvolle spelers uit de hele wereld, merk ik hoe belangrijk ervaring is.
Om mijn visie en inzichten mee te geven ben ik me gaan bekwamen in het coachen en mentaal begeleiden van professionals. Als Internationaal Gecertificeerd NLP Trainer en NLP Master Coach help ik mensen onder de naam PETROUSJKA, om hun doelen, identiteit en missie weer duidelijk te krijgen.

Practising ‘world-class sport’ every day enforces strict discipline and an ongoing pursuit of balance, acceptance and satisfaction. Due to the constant aiming for perfection in a musical career, one is bound to encounter moments of stress. This is a common problem in our society nowadays! Partly due to the fact that the orchestra has been rejuvenated in recent years with very talented players from all over the world, I realise that experience plays an important role. To share my vision and insights, I have studied and qualified to be coach and mental trainer of professionals.
